How S&K Corporation
Came to Life
Sometimes, the biggest opportunity in your life comes from a situation you never wanted to be in.
I didn’t start my business because everything was going perfectly. I started because I reached a point where I had to make a choice. I was working for someone else, and I wasn’t even getting paid. At that moment, I could either keep waiting for things to change—or take a risk on myself.
The truth is, working for myself had always been in the back of my mind. Even as a kid, I dreamed about having my own company and building something that belonged to me. I just never knew exactly when that dream would become a reality.
That situation forced me to stop waiting for the “right time.”
So I bet on myself.
There was no guarantee it would work. I didn’t have everything figured out, and walking away from what I knew was scary. But I realized that if I was going to struggle, I wanted to struggle building something of my own.
And that decision changed everything.
I started my business with a dream, a lot of determination, and the belief that I could create something better for myself. There were long days, challenges, and plenty of moments when I questioned whether I had made the right decision. But every obstacle reminded me why I started in the first place.
I wasn’t just building a business.
I was building the life I had dreamed about since I was a kid.
Looking back, not getting paid at my previous job was one of the most frustrating experiences I had ever been through. But it also became the push I needed. What felt like a setback ended up giving me the courage to take the biggest risk of my life.
I didn’t know if I was going to succeed. I just knew I had to give myself a chance.
And that’s how my business began.
